Camden Public School has a long tradition of quality public education dating back to 1849. It continues to serve the township that bears its name as well as the surrounding semi-rural community.
Our children have a history of strong academic, sporting and cultural involvement. Camden Public School is inclusive of students with special learning needs. We have successful programs for students with mild intellectual disabilities, autism and hearing impairment as well as structures designed to cater for the individual learning needs of all students.
Our School Goals are:
- to provide a consistent, relevant, challenging and diverse
curriculum for all students
to provide a safe and caring learning environment - to effectively and equitably allocate resources for school
programs mindful of the specific needs of all participants; - to actively support the continued professional development of
all staff in an environment conducive to effective teaching,
learning and leadership; - to ensure productive educational links with parents and the
wider community - to develop clear, efficient management procedures that
complement current needs and our school's future direction.
School song
On the outskirts of the city is a place we love to be
Where buildings merge with farmlands
And children can run free
We can create our new tomorrow to be caring, safe and strong
And there's a place for everyone where differences belong
(Chorus)
Here at Camden we reach upwards to achieve our highest goals
In all we say and do
Let's reach out and touch each other's lives
With respect for me and for you.
Here in this spreading country we watch the river flow
Ask the questions, find the answers
And feel our friendships grow
We are open wide to learning
In our work and in our play
And amongst the finest citizens we'll take our place some day
(Repeat chorus)
